Farne Islands

Lying just off the Northumberland coast, the Farne Islands number 15 to 28, depending on the tide. Uninhabited by people, they provide a haven for thousands of breeding seabirds; mainly puffins, guillemots, and Arctic terns, but also shags, razorbills, kittiwakes, eiders and several other species.

Great photo and video opportunities await so make sure you take plenty of memory cards and video tapes!
